The Blood of Dawnwalker, new RPG from CD Projekt RED veterans, revealed

Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by former CD Projekt RED developers, recently held a stream to unveil their debut project, *The Blood of Dawnwalker*, a dark fantasy action RPG. During the event, they showcased a captivating four-minute cinematic trailer, which also serves as the opening to the game's storyline.

Set in an alternate version of 14th-century Europe, *The Blood of Dawnwalker* follows the journey of a young man named Coen. After the events shown in the intro, Coen acquires supernatural abilities and embarks on a mission to rescue his loved ones from the clutches of vampires. The urgency of his quest is heightened by a strict time limit—only 30 days and nights to complete his task. Time progresses only during specific gameplay moments, requiring players to manage it meticulously.

Throughout the game, Coen faces significant moral dilemmas, deciding whether to cling to his humanity or embrace his emerging vampiric nature. This choice significantly impacts both the gameplay and the unfolding narrative. A crucial gameplay mechanic, Blood Hunger, challenges players to ensure Coen feeds regularly. If he goes too long without blood, he risks losing control and potentially killing important characters, leading to unforeseen consequences.

Players will enjoy the freedom to explore richly detailed environments, with many elements influenced by the time of day. The developers have described the open world as a "narrative sandbox," offering extensive opportunities for player-driven actions.

*The Blood of Dawnwalker* has been in development for two years and utilizes the powerful Unreal Engine 5. The game is set to release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series, though an official release date has yet to be announced.
