In 2025, World of Warcraft enthusiasts can look forward to the introduction of a long-awaited housing system, with Blizzard already unveiling the first exciting details. The developers have assured that homes will be accessible to all players without the need for complex prerequisites, exorbitant prices, or lotteries. Importantly, your home will remain yours, even if you take a break from your subscription. The full rollout of this housing content is slated for the Midnight expansion.
Upon launch, players will have the opportunity to select a plot in one of two designated zones—Alliance members can choose plots in Elwynn Forest, infused with elements from Westfall and Duskwood, while Horde players will find their homes in Durotar, featuring elements from Azshara and the Durotar coastline.
Each zone will be segmented into districts, with each district hosting around 50 houses. You can opt to settle in an open area or form a private community alongside friends and guildmates. Blizzard promises an extensive array of decoration options for personalizing your space, with most items obtainable in-game, and select options available in the shop.
The housing system is built on three core principles: extensive customization, fostering social interaction, and ensuring longevity. Blizzard plans to release further details about the housing system in the future and encourages the community to share their feedback and ideas in the meantime.
