By AndrewFeb 20,2025

Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, has shared a moving message following a near-fatal incident. Last week, he was found "barely alive" in his Atlanta hotel room.

A video posted on his GoFundMe page, which has already raised over $174,000 for medical expenses, reveals Johnson was in a coma. He expressed profound gratitude for the outpouring of support: "I found out there's a lot of love in this world that I didn't know was out there, and I'm grateful to each and every one of you."

The incident occurred while Johnson was in Atlanta for a National Alzheimer's Foundation benefit. His absence from the event triggered concern, leading his wife to contact the hotel. Security personnel and EMTs found him with a weak pulse.

Johnson recounted the ordeal: "Rumors of my demise weren't exaggerated. It was very close. But I'm still here because my wife called the hotel, and my son contacted security. They found me nearly dead." He spent five days in a medically induced coma. He specifically thanked his wife, Kim Johnson, friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker, for establishing the GoFundMe campaign.

He also acknowledged the National Alzheimer's Association for supporting his family, Ted Leonsis (Washington Capitals' parent company chairman) for a $25,000 donation, and Bethesda for their public show of support. "You say I'm your friend. I am, always will be. Love you guys," he stated, extending his gratitude to fans for their donations and well wishes. "I love you all. I'm not going anywhere," he affirmed. "It's going to be a while, but I'm coming back."

Johnson's extensive voice acting credits span film, television, and video games, with a significant presence in Bethesda's portfolio. His recent roles include Ron Hope in Starfield, alongside previous memorable performances as Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, several Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4.
