Atomfall: A New Gameplay Trailer Unveils Post-Apocalyptic England

Rebellion Developments, renowned for the Sniper Elite series, ventures into new territory with Atomfall, a first-person survival game set in an alternate 1960s England devastated by nuclear war. A recently released seven-minute gameplay trailer offers a compelling glimpse into this post-apocalyptic world.

The trailer establishes a setting reminiscent of Fallout and STALKER, showcasing exploration of quarantine zones, dilapidated villages, and mysterious research bunkers. Survival hinges on resource scavenging, crafting essential items, and navigating hazardous environments. Players will face off against hostile robots and fanatical cultists.

Combat in Atomfall blends melee and ranged encounters. While the trailer highlights a relatively basic arsenal (cricket bat, revolver, shotgun, bolt-action rifle), it emphasizes weapon upgrades and the potential for discovering a wider range of firearms. Crafting plays a crucial role, allowing players to create healing items and tactical tools like Molotov cocktails and sticky bombs. A metal detector aids in locating hidden supplies and crafting materials. Furthermore, players can enhance their capabilities by unlocking skills categorized into melee, ranged combat, survival, and conditioning, using found training manuals.

Initially revealed at Xbox's Summer Game Fest, Atomfall generated considerable buzz, particularly due to its day-one inclusion in Xbox Game Pass. With its March 27th launch rapidly approaching, this extended gameplay trailer provides a significant boost to anticipation. The game will be available on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms. Rebellion has promised another in-depth video soon, urging fans to stay tuned for further updates.
