Boosting animal friendship levels in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is crucial for increasing your Camp Manager Level. Snacks are a key element in this process, although they can be scarce. This guide details how to acquire and strategically use them.

How to Obtain Snacks in Pocket Camp

Gulliver's Ship Strategy

Gulliver's Ship offers the most reliable method for obtaining snacks. Sending him to special "gold islands" yields Villager Maps. Completing a special island by collecting all souvenirs awards 20 Gold Treats.

If you've already collected all Villager Maps, send Gulliver to any island shown. Island types vary, impacting snack rewards. Isle of Style islands consistently provide 3 Gold Treats as souvenirs, plus 3 as a completion bonus.

Only three islands are visible at a time. A daily free refresh is available via the top-right icon.

Gulliver's Ship requires cargo, craftable in your furniture catalog. Some islands require specific furniture. For modern-themed snacks, target Exotic Islands, using Plain Packages, Plain Crates, or exotic furniture (e.g., Exotic Rug).

Island snack types are previewed using the magnifying glass icon. Longer expeditions (6 hours) generally yield more treats than shorter ones (4 hours or less). For instance, Piano Island offers all Tart Snack varieties.

Alternative Snack Sources

  • Bronze, Silver, or Gold Treats are rewards for completing Requests or receiving gifts.
  • Daily Goals often include Silver and Gold Treats.
  • Utilize Blathers's Treasure Trek with Auto-Trek (costs 5 Leaf Tokens) to acquire all treats on a Villager Map. These maps always contain Bronze, Silver, and Gold Treats.

Understanding Snack Types

Snacks are categorized as regular or themed. Bronze, Silver, and Gold Treats are regular, universally liked snacks. Themed snacks (like Plain Donuts) have three tiers:

  • Plain
  • Tasty
  • Gourmet

Gourmet snacks provide the most friendship points, followed by Tasty, then Plain. Gourmet snacks are typically found on longer expeditions.

There are 36 different snacks in Pocket Camp:

Choosing the Right Snack

Snack Giving Mechanics

Always check an animal's theme before gifting a snack. Matching themes maximize friendship points. Generic treats (Bronze, Silver, Gold) are universally applicable. Gold Treats offer the highest friendship point reward (25 points).

Ten Gold Treats can boost a level 1 animal to level 15.

To check an animal's theme, tap their icon at your campsite or cabin. The theme icon is near their name. For animals encountered on the map, consult your Contacts or Pete's Parcel Service.

To give a snack, tap the animal and select "Have a snack!". This option is highlighted red, indicating friendship point gains.
