Albion Online's Abyssal Depths Arrives Soon

Albion Online is gearing up for its next major expansion: Abyssal Depths. Sandbox Interactive will launch the update on June 30, 2025, bringing a comprehensive overhaul with significant gameplay enhancements. Read on to explore everything this new release offers.

What Are the Abyssal Depths in Albion Online?

A new PvP dungeon experience is on the horizon. These instanced PvP dungeons are tailored for small groups of two or three players, pitting them against adversaries within a dynamically collapsing environment.

Fight off waves of monsters and rival teams while completing time-sensitive tactical objectives and gathering spirits—all before the dungeon collapses around you. High risk is matched by rare rewards, with developers hinting at exclusive new loot to earn.

You can enter these dungeons through Antiquarian’s Dens, which also now serve as gateways to Corrupted Dungeons and Hellgates. Both of these modes have also received enhancements and balance updates.

The Abyssal Depths expansion also aims to improve the new player experience. The post-tutorial progression is now integrated into the Albion Journal for a smoother introduction to the game.

Rather than navigating unrelated NPC quests, newcomers will follow a guided and coherent path that gradually immerses them in Albion’s many systems. Tasks begin with simple objectives before evolving into broader goals related to crafting, combat, the Destiny Board, and utilizing in-game structures.

The HUD Tracker has been refined for a cleaner appearance, and interface adjustments improve overall usability. Additionally, tutorial elements are now more interactive and intuitive.

The Learning Points system has undergone a complete redesign. Players can also discover a new arsenal of Crystal Weapons, while the Marketplace receives a more organized category structure.
