In 2022, Innersloth transformed the gaming world by launching a virtual reality version of Among Us, which received widespread praise. Building on that success, the studio is now pushing boundaries further with Among Us 3D. This new iteration reimagines the beloved game in a fully immersive first-person perspective, accessible without a VR headset.
Players can anticipate the familiar core mechanics they've grown to love, now tailored for traditional gaming platforms. A teaser trailer provides a sneak peek into the revamped experience, illustrating how tasks, meetings, and sabotage will appear through the eyes of the character. Excitingly, fans will have the opportunity to explore this new mode at Steam's upcoming "Game On" festival, where a free demo will be available for testing.
While an official release date has yet to be disclosed, Among Us 3D will initially launch on PC, optimized for keyboard and mouse controls. The interface has been updated to improve accessibility, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience. Moreover, cross-play functionality will enable users of Among Us 3D to connect with players of Among Us VR, although the original Among Us will continue to operate independently from these new versions.
To enhance the player experience even further, Innersloth is set to introduce a new in-game currency called Stardust in the coming months. This addition will offer expanded customization options, allowing players to personalize their avatars and contribute to the game's continuous development.
