Application Description

Hanafuda Koikoi is a traditional Japanese card game that has gained popularity worldwide. This English version of Hanafuda Koi-Koi brings the essence of the classic game to a broader audience.

Koi-Koi, which translates to "come on" in Japanese, is a captivating card game played with Hanafuda cards. It is one of the most popular ways to enjoy Hanafuda, a set of Japanese playing cards, and is typically played between two players.

The primary objective of Koi-Koi is to form specific card combinations known as "yaku" faster than your opponent. Players collect cards in their point pile by matching cards from their hand or drawing from the deck to cards already on the table. Once a yaku is formed, players have the option to either stop and claim their points or continue playing, known as "koi-koi," to try and create more yaku for additional points. It's important to note that while individual cards have point values, these do not directly affect the score but are crucial in assessing their worth in forming yaku.

The strategic element of deciding whether to say "koi-koi" and continue playing or to secure the points already earned adds an exciting layer of decision-making to the game, making Koi-Koi a thrilling experience for players of all levels.
