FortiToken Mobile is a robust One-Time Password (OTP) generator app designed for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), compatible with both event-based and time-based OTPs. This app, tailored for mobile devices, serves as the client component in Fortinet's comprehensive security suite, which also includes FortiOS, FortiAuthenticator, or FortiToken Cloud for OTP validation. This integration ensures a highly secure, user-friendly, and cost-effective solution for enhancing your authentication protocols.

Privacy and Control

Your privacy is paramount with FortiToken Mobile. The app does not have the capability to alter your phone settings, capture images or videos, record or transmit audio, or access your emails. It also does not track your browsing history. The app will only send you notifications or adjust settings with your explicit permission. Additionally, FortiToken Mobile cannot perform a remote wipe of your device. Its visibility is limited to checking your OS version for app compatibility purposes. During manual token setup, sensitive data such as your email address or token seeds might be required, ensuring seamless integration of FortiToken tokens, third-party tokens, and token transfers.

While FortiToken Mobile requires your permission for any setting changes, here are the permissions necessary for its operation:

• Access to the camera to scan QR codes for effortless token activation.
• TouchID/FaceID for enhanced app security.
• Internet access to facilitate token activation and receive push notifications.
• "Send Feedback by Email" feature, which auto-fills the sender field for convenience.
• Ability to share files internally between apps to attach feedback emails.
• Keeping the phone awake during internal database upgrades to prevent data corruption.
