About the Game

Chinese Checkers (also known as Sternhalma) is a classic board game that originated in Germany. It's played on a star-shaped board by 2 to 6 players, with each player aiming to move all their pieces from their starting corner to the opposite one.

Game Modes

The app lets you play both online and offline.

Online play offers two options: 1. Get matched with a random opponent. 2. Create a private game to play with friends or join one using a unique code.

Offline modes let you play against computer bots or challenge another player locally on the same device. You can configure games with any number of players (e.g., you versus one bot, or you versus five).

Bots

Choose from three AI opponents: Weak Bot, Medium Bot, and Strong Bot.

As the name implies, the Weak Bot simulates a novice player who often makes suboptimal moves—ideal for beginners.

The Medium Bot is significantly smarter, though experienced players can still defeat it.

Beating the Strong Bot requires serious strategic effort.

Profile

Tap the person icon in the bottom-right corner of the main screen to set up your profile, visible to others in online games. You can enter your name and select an avatar.

Settings

Tap the gear icon on the main page to open the Settings screen and tailor the game to your liking. Here you can:

Adjust the volume for interface sounds (clicks, move sounds, game-end effects).

Adjust background music volume.

Select a background music track.

Choose an interface theme and game board theme.

Toggle Super Chinese Checkers mode on or off.

Toggle the "cheat" mode on or off to show all possible move destinations.

And access many more customization options.
